We started the day out at Mather Campground in the Grand Canyon National Park. We had a leisurely breakfast and then headed over to rim towards Bright Angel Lodge:
After walking a short bit of the Bright Angel Trail, we ate lunch from our packs and then drove over to Mather Point and took a 3 mile hike to Pipe Creek Vista:
The kids were pretty canyoned out, so we went by the general store and picked up some firewood and a few treats and then headed back to camp. The new hammock got some heavy use and Rebecca and I both finally got some use out of the yoga mat we've been carting around:
We made a quick dinner of beans and hotdogs, and then Rebecca and I left the kids (and a phone) at the camp playing cards and went back to the rim to see the sunset:
