Road Trip Day Forty

Our time at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Lansing was short but it met all our needs. The room was $70 with tax. We got there too late to use the pool but made it to the complimentary breakfast which was not bad. Sadly, it's pretty clear that it had the last update it's ever going to have in 1983:

Today we were driving over the border to Canada through Port Huron. Just before that we had to make a pit stop and I spotted the first and only one of these we've seen on the whole trip:

The trip across the border was pretty uneventful, other than a nice but energetic custom officer who was maybe enjoying his job a bit too much.
We got to Niagara Falls around 2:30 and checked into our room at the Marriot Gateway. We were on the top floor (31st) and had a great view of the Falls:

The kids had a swim and I went off to find a local laundromat. Then we headed out for a walk to the Falls:

We had lots of options for dinner as long as it was either Italian or Brazilian Steak House (only a little exaggeration). We decided on a local Italian restaurant called Zappi's, which was near our hotel.

After dinner we thought about walking back down to see the Falls lit up, but decided the view from our room was good enough:

Tomorrow, the Maid of the Mist!
