Road Trip Day Twelve

Surprise! It's Toby blogging today! If you want to see more of me check out my youtube channel Piewizard t! (Sorry about advertising…) so, to day we woke up in our tents in smokey mountains.

Then we ate what we had left for breakfast foods (eggs, bacon, and cereal. Yum!) We packed away everything that we had used, and hopped in the car. Then, mom and dad insisted on stopping to take pictures, so here they are…

Then we went through Gatlinburg, where the traffic was so bad! There was this one car that kept appearing over and over! Spooky….

Then came the the fun part! Pigeon Fordge, TN! It was like a theme park! When we saw the sign for Dollywood mom knew she had to snap some shotgun-photos…

Poor guy…

No! I'm the best lumberjack!

Let Fay go!

(pic. from front)

one more…

COOL!

I digged through my photos and found this….. SPOOKY CAR!

Then we went to Target and Calvin bought a book called Catcher in the Rye.

Then, we went to starbucks and we got hot chocolate. Mmmmmm… Then we traveled in time as we crossed into another time zone! Then we were in Nashville! We arrived at our KOA and hung out for a while. then dad went to a place called Prince's HOT Chicken to get takeout.

Apparently the story is that a prince named Prince was cheating on his girlfriend, and she found out. To get her revenge, she made chicken with every hot thing in the castle, and fed it to him. He LOVED it. There was No spice, mild, medium, hot, and EXTRA HOT. I got the no spice, Cal got the mild, and mom and dad got the hot.

The hot was so hot, dad was sweating. I tried it, and my mouth was on fire! AND THERE WAS AN EXTRA HOT TOO! Then we hung out at the pool/playground for a while, which ROCKED. Then, we got in our beds. Oh wow, I'm out of photos. Thank you for reading, check out my channel, and I hope i get to blog again soon!

    Hey Toby,
Wow, you did a wonderful job blogging. The pictures are great and you did a nice job of explaining the day.
We never got to Dollywood, so it was nice to see what it looked like. How do you like the camping out? Hopefully you guys will begin to get some nice weather. It has been really hot and humid here. The pool has been in full use. So where are you now? Are you having the bestest trip of all? Hugs to Cal and your parents.
Keep up the good work and we love you.. Grammie and Grampa

Great job blogging. The pics were something else. The chicken looked good. Good call on the no spice. Its not much fun eating and sweating bullets at the same time. Did your brother really buy “The Catcher in the Rye”? That is one weird book with one strange history. Look it up. Have fun!

    Hey Toby!
I feel lucky to have this daily check-in with you all. I get to feel like I’m ON the trip but without the rain and hard ground to sleep on. Clara and I are going camping next week and your s’mores pictures are already making me hungry! I’m looking forward to the rest of your adventure. Love, Eden.

How far West are y’all heading? 🙂
When we lived in Asheville, NC (2004-2006), Bill won us free passes to Dollywood. It’s pretty quaint as theme parks go, but we did enjoy it.
    Keep on having fun!
